We are a print-only, all-inclusive magazine and a living portrait of our communities—families and chefs, students and small business owners, culture-keepers and dreamers who give this region its rhythm.
Through refined storytelling and visual narrative, we elevate what is often overlooked: the people, the flavors, and the hidden places that shape South Texas.
Every issue gives back. Magazine sales directly support community initiatives, from art shows to local programs, helping our towns continue to thrive.

Meet the Founder
Roxann’s work is rooted in storytelling, guided by people, place and connection. Through photography, she has spent years moving between cities like San Antonio and small rural towns across South Texas, documenting communities with care and intention - often preferring to observe rather than be seen.
Philanthropy is a natural part of her work. She donates photography services and supports causes across South Texas, with a particular focus on children with special needs and families who are often overlooked. Giving back is not separate from what she does - it is quietly woven into it.
With a love for fashion and editorial storytelling, her photography spans intimate community moments and fashion spaces alike. Her work has appeared in international editorial publications and within Texas fashion spaces, including Texas Fashion Week, while remaining grounded in the communities that inspire her.
Cactus & Mimosas was created as an extension of this perspective - a female-founded, print-only magazine dedicated to celebrating culture, community and the stories that shape South Texas.
Every issue directly gives back — magazine sales fund events such as art shows, sponsorships and community programs that keep our towns thriving.
